MAXxPIN Issuer Script Management

There are two architectural components in the MAXxPIN ISMS. These are:
• MAXxPIN ISMS Payment Application
• MAXxPIN ISMS Acquirer System

MAXxPIN Issuer Script Payment Application (MAXxPIN ISPA) shall have responsibility for capturing new pin entry and change pin transactions, and communicating with MAXxPIN Issuer Script Acquirer System (MAXxPIN ISAS) to obtain authorization to complete those transactions.

MAXxPIN ISPA shall enable the interaction between the EMV transaction process and MAXxPIN ISAS by populating ISO8583 based messages to communicate transaction details to/from MAXxPIN ISAS.

To enable the processing of transactions, MAXxPIN ISPA shall be responsible for executing and managing the EMV new pin/pin change transaction process by sending commands to the ICC, receiving the responses from the ICC, and executing logic to manage the interaction with the ICC through to the end of the transaction.

MAXxPIN ISPA shall also perform a number of configuration management functions with a Configuration Management System – including parameter synchronization, key management – in order to enable secure and robust integration with the MAXxPIN ISAS.

MAXxPIN Issuer Script Acquirer System

MAXxPIN AS has three high level roles in relation to terminals. These are:

  • to enable new pin, pin change transaction processing
  • to provide up to date parameters on request to the terminal via MAXxTMS unit
  • to securely store and distribute the keys needed by terminals to execute transactions via MAXxTMS
  • to communicate with another system to transfer new pin value

Terminal Management System (MAXxTMS System)

MAXxPIN ISAS will enable a set of terminal parameters to be updated on the terminal via of its module MAXxTMS. Success of any payment institution requires to access real-time information about regionally distributed pos terminals such as configurations settings, deployment parameters, application profiles, user access and other additional parameters. This is why the control of terminal in the field is an essential demand for the payment institutions to provide extensible and multi-functional systems.

To fulfil this requirement, MobilityPay developed MAXxTMS that is an integrated remote Terminal Management System to manage a network of POS terminals. The system is built on top of a well-designed, robust, parametric, configurable and scalable architecture by taking into consideration of flexible and user friendly approach. 

MAXxTMS’s main feature to enable the remote download, control, installation and customization of POS related software and parameters and provides statistic reports on transactions and POS communication using communication technology (Dial up, TCP/IP, GPRS, Wi-Fi ).

Issuer Script Management System

Issuer Script Management System build post-issuance commands to be delivered to the ICC via the terminal. These commands are relevant for the new pin, pin change transactions, and they are used for updating the application data (PIN here)  in the card during its utilization lifetime, The format of the post-issuance commands can be proprietary to MAXxPIN ISMS. They are not meaningful for the terminal, which should only dispatch them from the authorization response message and send them sequentially to the ICC that has to be updated.

MAXxPIN Issuer Script Management MODULES

The MAXxPIN Core Engine is the core service based application which powers all the modules with required functionality like

−  PIN Pad Management & PIN Change Management

The MAXxPIN Switch Services enable the solution to communicate with Web application, Core Engine service, Customer Service officer and POS devices.

The MAXxPIN TMS allows to manage all the POS device at the branches and keep track of the activity of the related POS devices at the Branch.

MAXxPIN Issuer Script Payment Application (MAXxPIN ISPA) shall have responsibility for capturing new pin entry and change pin transactions, and communicating with MAXxPIN Issuer Script Acquirer System (MAXxPIN ISAS) to obtain authorization to complete those transactions.

The MAXxPIN POS application allows the customer to do the PIN Change, forgotten PIN option on the POS device to perform the issuer Scritpting on teh run times.
